Let’s Talk Gambling with Cubeia’s Caroline Björkman
As Cubeia sets its sights on expanding across Europe and Latin America, the company is sharpening its focus on strategic partnerships, innovation, and local expertise. Leading the charge is Cubeia’s new Head of Sales, who brings a vision of quality-driven growth and cutting-edge solutions tailored to regional demands. In this exclusive interview, we dive into Cubeia’s plans for LATAM, the power of the Nano Platform, and the future of crypto in iGaming.
As the new Head of Sales at Cubeia, what are your immediate priorities for expanding the company’s presence in Europe and Latin America?
In my new role, the focus is clear: quality over quantity. As a company, we are committed to working with a carefully selected group of customers, guaranteeing they receive our complete attention, strategic guidance, and advanced solutions. We don’t just react to change – we drive it, shaping the industry through innovation and deep partnerships to maximise successes for those who work with us.
Europe and Latin America are diverse territories, each with unique regulatory landscapes, player behaviours, and technological demands. Success in these regions hinges on forging strong alliances with operators that align with our vision. We’re close to opening a new office in Costa Rica as part of our LATAM strategy. I’ll be working closely with CCO Tobias Fogelberg to replicate the excellent results we’ve achieved in Europe within the LATAM market.
We are also actively identifying key partners in both regions who share our commitment to innovation and long-term growth. Our approach combines global excellence with hyper-local insights, ensuring that our solutions resonate with the specific needs of each region.
Can you share how Cubeia’s Nano Platform is setting itself apart in the iGaming industry and the key benefits it offers to operators?
Cubeia’s Nano sets a new standard in iGaming by offering a lean, agile, and operator-focused solution designed for maximum flexibility, efficiency and conversion. As a proud Swedish company, we have always built our business on trust, transparency, and long-term partnerships – values that are rooted in our approach to working with operators.
The dynamic platform ensures seamless and intuitive user interactions, making gameplay effortless. Furthermore, Cubeia Nano is optimised for rapid loading and responsiveness to provide an engaging experience across the entire user journey.
The adoption from traditional currencies to crypto currencies was a hot topic at SBC Rio. Can you tell us more about this trend and how it fits into Cubeia’s LatAm strategy?
SBC Rio confirmed that LatAm is a rapidly growing iGaming market with a strong appetite for cryptocurrency and alternative payment methods. Operators seek faster, secure, and cost-efficient transactions, making crypto a key part of the ecosystem.
The Cubeia Nano platform was built with crypto in mind and is top-class in its design and adaptability for the crypto market. Our existing crypto operators see exceptional conversion rates, and we are now focused on delivering the same high performance to LatAm’s crypto casino operators. Our strategy is to continue enhancing seamless, fully integrated crypto payment solutions while strengthening our regional presence to meet LatAm’s unique market needs.
How does Cubeia plan to balance growth in established European markets with its ambitions in the rapidly evolving LatAm region?
Our headquarters in Stockholm ensures a strong and established presence in Europe, where we continue to support operators with localised expertise, strategic guidance, and advanced technology. While we remain committed to driving innovation and growth in this mature market, we also recognise the immense potential in Latin America.
To support our expansion in LatAm, we are in the final stages of establishing an office in Costa Rica, where a dedicated CSM and support team will provide coverage across local time zones and address language barriers. This dual-market approach allows Cubeia to maintain a strong foothold in Europe while simultaneously scaling effectively in LatAm, ensuring that operators in both regions receive a high level of support, flexibility, and innovation they need to succeed.
What are the most exciting innovations we can expect from Cubeia this year, particularly in terms of technology and platform enhancements?
One of the most exciting innovations from Cubeia this year is fully branded, seamlessly integrated games. By fully branded, we mean that operators get complete control over their games’ look and feel—there are no Cubeia logos or generic branding elements. Everything, from the UI to in-game assets, is tailored to match the operator’s brand identity. Additionally, these games run in real time, ensuring a smooth, high-performance experience that keeps players engaged.
Beyond branded games, we are continuously rolling out new features and platform enhancements, driven directly by operator needs. Our roadmap is shaped by a close, collaborative relationship with our customers, balancing both must-have and nice-to-have features. This customer-centric approach is our key to success – by listening, adapting, and evolving alongside our partners, we ensure Cubeia remains at the forefront of iGaming innovation.
